Ive never known this, but when you wash your car, does this part of the car get washed where uou have to open the door for it?

If you ever take your car to be full valeted, it's a mark of how good a job they've done if you notice they've cleaned them.

@Picklebobble2 How do you do it yourself though without the hose or a self service car wash. Youre going to get the interior wet for sure
