On Expertise

When you’re an expert in something, your whole life becomes watching people who are qualified to say nothing about anything say everything about your thing and get treated like they’re the next big thing. Doubly so if they’re a white dude and you’re not.

For anyone interested in stretching their brain, take a look at how many deleted replies there are here and consider that this post was literally just someone saying, “I’m a woman, and I am an expert in something, and I get ignored all the time” and try to imagine why the hell anyone would get mad at that.
