@CallmeJD I think most people don't notice their accents it seems.

I was born and raised in NYC, so basically a New York accent....but I’ve been to a lot of places and went to school outside on NY for a while, so it’s not quite as heavy as it would have been had I lived here the whole time. It tends to come out on certain words.
SoulAsylum · 31-35, M
@DragonFruit I don't think I could ever live there to many people too big guess I'm to use to living in the middle of nowhere
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
@SoulAsylum I was born here, so it’s what I’m used to....I’d have a tough time adjusting to life in a secluded place.

Northern English.

@ArtieKat I can't stand Oasis. They are a disgrace to the city. Still, at least we've also got M People.

@HairbrushDiva That song (half a world away) was like nothing else they've ever done. I like Heather Small's voice btw
HairbrushDiva · 31-35, F
@ArtieKat Heather Small has a great voice. I love M People.

California accent. It's not too different from "Standard American", but there are some differences. I've had people correctly guess I was from California by hearing the way I pronounce certain words.
SoulAsylum · 31-35, M
@SW-User I didn't realize I had a accent till I became friends with a guy who moved here from California. He'd always mention the way I say certain words 😄
curiosi · 61-69, F
I was fortunate enough to be born and raised in Connecticut. We escaped the New England accent of MA, ME and were far north enough to escape the southern drawl.

Well I’m from SoCal but I think I have a standard American accent but I do tend to use phrases that are unique to SoCal like dank or kickback or stuff like that
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M

I'm gettin' me a glass of wudder, you thirsty?

I am from a county just north of London so i suspect it's more London sounding than anything else

I can't shake the New York accent no matter where I live.
SoulAsylum · 31-35, M
@SW-User so you sound pissed off all the time 😄 that's the new Yorkers sound to me.
SW-User
@SoulAsylum Hey, you talkin ta me? F*ck you buddy! lol. No, I don't sound pissed off. I sound extremely annoying. 😅

Canadian I guess which probably is most closely the American mid-west accent but different I guess.
I have an indistinguishable English accent because of the various changes I have made throughout my life
Midnightoker1 · 61-69, M
A mixture of Northern, Birmingham, Liverpool, and London.
G00GLE · 22-25, M
SoulAsylum · 31-35, M
@G00GLE is it a thick accent
G00GLE · 22-25, M
@SoulAsylum It's noticeable but not dominating. I think...
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
Canadian, for some reason.
SoulAsylum · 31-35, M
@TexChik southern? That's what I have a light southern accent.
TexChik · F
@SoulAsylum that was an intentional “thick” spelling 🤠
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F

A mix between a mild northern Irish accent and a southern English one.
SoulAsylum · 31-35, M
@SW-User there's different irish accents? I know the British have different ones didn't realize the Irish did too.
SW-User
@SoulAsylum There are loads of them. Even in NI, the accents vary a lot. A Belfast accent is different from a Tyrone accent, for example.
