Deluded. Liberalism has become an orthodoxy or belief system. "The truth" is only known to certain enlightened individuals, and it is their duty to get everyone else to see this truth, no matter the cost.

@SumKindaMunster is everyone willing to see and accept the truth!?
Elessar · 31-35, M
@SumKindaMunster Conservatism hasn't?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Elessar Both sides have their extremists, the question was about liberal folks.
Elessar · 31-35, M
@SumKindaMunster "Liberal folks" could refer to potentially an entire portion of the political spectrum, no? You said it yourself, both sides have their extremists. I don't get the point of this generalization.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Elessar No, clearly not based on the responses of the original poster. It seems to me I got his point.
Perhaps the post wasn't meant for you.

@SumKindaMunster Well, in such case the original poster should've made the title more clear, if it referred to extremists only. If a similar post was made with the word "conservative" rather than "liberals" (or even "right-winger" or "left-winger") you can bet the respective moderates would've been quite pissed as well.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Elessar I'm only speculating of course, I have no idea the original posters intention.
Are you upset about this post?

@SumKindaMunster Me neither, I suppose your speculation is correct.
I wouldn't say "upset", I just think that this kind of generalisation, voluntary or not, only feeds divisiveness and benefit no side, potentially also resulting in an echo chamber. I'd say the world and the U.S. in particular at the present moment in history need exactly the opposite.
