what do you do when someone you like(not in a romantic way) ignores you..for example a friend you really care about ?

Tell them u want to support them and you're hoping they will come to you when ready.. my guess is he likes u more than a friend. Sounds like he's avoiding you so he doesn't get hurt by gentle rejection ...am I close at least ?
