My best friend wants us to be roommates when we leave high school. She keeps mentioning it. It sounds fun but people say it isn’t a great idea.

She was like, “Let’s be roommates! I mean we get along, we do everything together, we’re like sisters and plus you’re the only family I have. It’s just my mom and I. The rest of my family lives on the west side. Plus my mom said it has to be with somebody I trust more and known for a long time which is YOU. Our other friends are good but I trust you so we gotta make like plans together. Where you go, I go. If you move to a different start, please don’t. Then I’m going too.”
Some people said it isn’t a great idea and we shouldn’t do it. Now I’m getting second thoughts. My dad said I’m not ready to be out on my own yet and he doesn’t think it’s a great idea but it doesn’t mean I can’t do it. I can try but I have to save up a lot of money to move out.
