Something America had through the 40s , 50s, and 60s, but fell away in the 70s and has been replaced by the same symbols, but a much darker, selfish meaning.

@whowasthatmaskedman kkk?

@cycleman Back then , while the KKK existed (and still does) nice people condemned it publicly. Now it is bordering on publicly acceptable and its influence behind closed doors, which SHOULD have washed out as the older pre war generations passed, has not.

@whowasthatmaskedman So "Liberty" in the US is an oxymoron then?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@cycleman Not an oxymoron.. A fallacy. Or an aspiration. In truth Freedom and Liberty carry with them an equal balance of responsibility to maintain it.. Or is goes away. Here is your quote for the day:
"the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants." Thomas Jefferson.. You arent born with Liberty.. You earn it and keep earning it. or it leaves you an inch as a time.
