I wanted to be a rock star so I was in bands...I tried to go part time but it didn't work out. I ended up w/a decent job (career?) but in my age group - back in the 70s - it was not that uncommon for people not to go. Now it's almost a prerequisite. Does it make you smarter? Again, unless your a scientist or doctor...most things I hear about "college life" we're "dude, remember when..."...I would have like to have gone for the fun of it!
