Would you attend your highschool reunion?

I feel like I interact with who I want to already in some way. I don’t enjoy those things and I don’t care who wound up where 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Mine was ruined by covid, but I didn't plan to go anyway.

I thought about it....but then found out how informal it would be...they wanted to have it at like a pizza and beer place....but then some of the moms wanted it at a kid friendly place for the children.
And thats where Im out. No thanks.

I think I'd show up if I was around but I certainly wouldn't travel to my home city if I lived somewhere else.

Many years ago I went to my 10th and saw how pretentious everyone was. That experience made me decline my 20th and 30th.

I haven’t attended them. That’s what Facebook and going to the local WalMart is for.

I have every year except the first one. I don't live in the same city and state where I went to high school, so I really like going the reunions to see people in person that I now only see on social media.

No. There’s really just the one group who have remained close through the years so it’s fun for them and I like to see the pictures, but I was never close with any of my classmates.

Yes....my 50th is in a couple of years, and I’ve been in touch with the class president who has started planning already.

I mean in your head everyone you knew is 16 or whatever age they were when you last met.
What would you gain with re-visiting that period of your life ?

People who these days would consider themselves holier than thou.
But you'd still remember them as 'The bike'; 'The bully' and The 'idiot' and 'The jock'. And how each affected your personal growth at a time when you needed more 'friends' than 'enemies'.

I've only ever heard of one re-union for my lot. I couldn't go because i was working that night.
I did hear from my Cousin who did attend that only a few turned up. And those who did didn't really interact with each other while at school so there were lots of uncomfortable silences in conversations. And most of them were bitching about certain Teachers.

You spent five years with these people. Odd how you can rarely say the same for anybody else in your life today. And sad that even though you were thrown together at probably the most vulnerable period in your life, nothing on earth would want to make you seek out their company today.

Probably not. Someone organized our 5 year class reunion in 2018 and only 5-6 people showed up, no joke! 🤣

No. I can only think of one person I'd like to speak to and he would not be at a reunion either.

Yeah I would like to but won't take too long. I never like their crowd. Majority of attendees are those who never grew up from highschool. They were there for the intention of rekindling their exes, unrequitted crushes, booze all week and reminiscing how popular and how they bully to win. They were but really suck today. If really the event was there to reunite and pay a meaningful tribute of today. Perhaps there has to be a helping community since at this point in life we are more likely to be professionals, a good reason to be together and be more civic then I'll never hesitate to attend.

Yep. Would and did. I attended by 10-year last year and it was a lot of fun.

No, I had the chance to and couldn't see any reason I'd want to go.

I have twice over the years. Big mistakes both times.

No. I wasn't into the social scene then and really don't care now.
