I feel like I interact with who I want to already in some way. I don’t enjoy those things and I don’t care who wound up where 🤷🏻♀️.
Darkmare · 36-40, F
@Keepitsimple I agree!😊
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
went to 10 year reunion, pretty fucking boring... 🤔
Darkmare · 36-40, F
@wildbill83 I rather feel bored than having to deal with pretentious and patronizing people and feel shitty for a month or two 😶
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@Darkmare none of the people I'd like to have seen showed up, only the ones I'm tired of seeing...
summersong · F
Hell no, I saw enough of those people in actual high school.
Darkmare · 36-40, F
@summersong 😆 I feel you
ChiyoSKL · 31-35, F
Mine was ruined by covid, but I didn't plan to go anyway.
Blackbeauty · 36-40, F
@ChiyoSKL lol
Sepia · 36-40, F
Yeah I would like to but won't take too long. I never like their crowd. Majority of attendees are those who never grew up from highschool. They were there for the intention of rekindling their exes, unrequitted crushes, booze all week and reminiscing how popular and how they bully to win. They were but really suck today. If really the event was there to reunite and pay a meaningful tribute of today. Perhaps there has to be a helping community since at this point in life we are more likely to be professionals, a good reason to be together and be more civic then I'll never hesitate to attend.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Odd one isn't it ?
I mean in your head everyone you knew is 16 or whatever age they were when you last met.
What would you gain with re-visiting that period of your life ?
You might have a class full of 'Saints and Sinners !"
People who these days would consider themselves holier than thou.
But you'd still remember them as 'The bike'; 'The bully' and The 'idiot' and 'The jock'. And how each affected your personal growth at a time when you needed more 'friends' than 'enemies'.
I've only ever heard of one re-union for my lot. I couldn't go because i was working that night.
I did hear from my Cousin who did attend that only a few turned up. And those who did didn't really interact with each other while at school so there were lots of uncomfortable silences in conversations. And most of them were bitching about certain Teachers.
You spent five years with these people. Odd how you can rarely say the same for anybody else in your life today. And sad that even though you were thrown together at probably the most vulnerable period in your life, nothing on earth would want to make you seek out their company today.

@Picklebobble2 I wouldn't mind if those reunions were like "walking down the memory lane" rather than bragging and parading about themselves, their spouses, their kids etc. We all have some good and bad stuff in our lives, just keep that away and have fun just like the good old days 🤷🏻♀️
saragoodtimes · F
have no desire to. anyone who had meaning is still my friend
Darkmare · 36-40, F
@saragoodtimes That's true☺
Quizzical · 46-50, M
Nope. I have no wish to see any of those people

I thought about it....but then found out how informal it would be...they wanted to have it at like a pizza and beer place....but then some of the moms wanted it at a kid friendly place for the children.
And thats where Im out. No thanks.

No
JustEd · 41-45, M
Went to one and was reminded why I really didn’t want to go
KimWexler · 51-55, F
Many years ago I went to my 10th and saw how pretentious everyone was. That experience made me decline my 20th and 30th.

No. I thought most of them were bumholes when I was 16.. I doubt much changed 😇
Darkmare · 36-40, F
MasterLee · 56-60, M
I did but decided never to again
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I think I'd show up if I was around but I certainly wouldn't travel to my home city if I lived somewhere else.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Hell no. I didn`t want to be with them then and I certainly don`t want to be around them again. 🙄
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
I haven’t attended them. That’s what Facebook and going to the local WalMart is for.
AnonymousJSS · 22-25, F
Yes. Just so everyone can see how much weight I’ve lost 😎
Darkmare · 36-40, F
@AnonymousJSS 🤩 that's great!
Thanos · 31-35, M
I don't even remember my classmates
SW-User
@Thanos 😂🤣😂🤣
calicuz · 56-60, M
I would, just to see old friends
@calicuz I had no friends in high school.
SW-User
No i don't want to see those bitches. 😂
SheenVCD · 56-60, M
I have every year except the first one. I don't live in the same city and state where I went to high school, so I really like going the reunions to see people in person that I now only see on social media.
JustNik · 51-55, F
No. There’s really just the one group who have remained close through the years so it’s fun for them and I like to see the pictures, but I was never close with any of my classmates.
Thebestof1995 · 26-30, F
Probably not. Someone organized our 5 year class reunion in 2018 and only 5-6 people showed up, no joke! 🤣
Darkmare · 36-40, F
@Thebestof1995 OMG that's sad 😆 I feel bad for the organizer😶
Thebestof1995 · 26-30, F
We’ve tried to explain (my brother, younger stepbrother, and I) to our parents that it’s not the same as in the 80s. It seemed like classmates for the most part had some morals and general respect for others back then. They talk about it was the best time of their lives and they met some amazing people, and how a lot of them they try to keep in touch with the best they can 30 something years later. I mean, I know their time had their fair share of assholes, but the way my parents explain it, high school was different compared to the 2010s. @Darkmare
JenniAnn · 41-45, F
I did once but never again. I was still remembered as the fat bottomed girl who peed her self in the line to the ladies.
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
Yes....my 50th is in a couple of years, and I’ve been in touch with the class president who has started planning already.
Darkmare · 36-40, F
@DragonFruit Wow...That's awesome! 😊
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
No. I can only think of one person I'd like to speak to and he would not be at a reunion either.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
I went to my 10th and 15th. My 50th was a couple years ago but not worth the thousand-mile journey.
SW-User
Yep. Would and did. I attended by 10-year last year and it was a lot of fun.
akindheart · 61-69, F
i have attended every single one from 5 yrs to 45 yrs.
Darkmare · 36-40, F
@akindheart wow that's awesome!
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Darkmare i love my school and hometown
SW-User
I have. It was freaking dull and they all over themselves.
Darkmare · 36-40, F
@SW-User Yeap. That happens 😩
Anonymartyr · M
You answered your own question for me. I had no friends in school so why bother going?
CheshireCatalyst · 36-40, M
No, I had the chance to and couldn't see any reason I'd want to go.
Darkmare · 36-40, F
@CheshireCatalyst I hear you
JavaJoe · 51-55, M
I have twice over the years. Big mistakes both times.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
No. I wasn't into the social scene then and really don't care now.
BEENOV · M
I would love to do that given the opportunity
coolguy10 · 31-35, M

HermannFegelein · 26-30, M

PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F

Darkmare · 36-40, F
MasterofNone · 26-30, M
