I like to play Devil's Advocate, but...

I like to play the devil's advocate, I don't like to go along with what mainstream thought tells us to think, I like to think for myself. However, I also sometimes see people that act like that, but seem to be trying hard to be different/edgy just for the sake of being "edgy". It's good, I love challenging ideas, but there is just that point where it seems they are posing, they like the idea of being a creative intellectual challenging ideas, but don't even know anything about subjects they claim to be passionate about. I see being edgy as being well informed on issues and having well founded ideas on them, rather than ticking off a checklist on what you need to look like you think to be "different". At one point do you think someone becomes an edgy poser instead of being thoughtful?

I'd say that clear isn't a colour.
