How old is too old to go trick or treating?

I don't want [b]anyone[/b] over 12 who doesn't have a child with them knocking on my door.

That is your perogative. This is just my thought on the subject.

Kids are not evil little mongrels. I do not see the big issue with them trick or treating. It is candy. Just my opinion. Not telling anyone what they should or should not be doing.

@Poptartinvasion: It's only happened a couple of times, but last year a bunch of teenagers turned up at around 10 pm, [i]long[/i] after the little ones had stopped coming. We gave them candy, but one of neighbors didn't have "cool" candy, which was remarked upon. And someone barfed on the front steps going back down.

@bijouxbroussard: 😵 wow. That's terrible.... I'm usually not home for halloween, but last year I was and we had all little kids. 😊 it was nice.

@bijouxbroussard: Right. So ...SOME teens acted like jerks, so that means ALL teens will and do? . Those kids should have had the police called on them as 10 pm is surely past trick or treating hours in my neck of the woods. The door would have never even been opened for them at that time.

I am not sure why my comment was singled out and needed commentary. This is not a debate. I do what I do at my home ..what others do is their deal...but I do think it is silly to get bent out of shape over giving candy to teens.

@JaggedLittlePill: i wouldn't worry too much over it. A lot of people on here had the same mindset as you did. I'm not certain why your comment was singled out either, but that happens a lot on public forms. try not to take it to heart. I agree with your mindset but it is always nice to see from another's perspective.
