All the answers you seek are in God's Word. The Bible tells us that no one has ever seen God (John 1:18) except Jesus, His Son. In Exodus 33:20, God declares, “You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” God the Father is Holy, and cannot look upon our sins, so Jesus mediates to our Father, for the forgiveness of sins. We can’t see God with our physical eyes for the simple reason that he is a spirit, and he doesn’t have a body. That is probably at least part of what Paul means when he says that Christ is “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation” (Colossians 1:15).

Jesus was God in the flesh (John 1:1, 14) so when people saw Him, they were seeing God. And he lived on earth for 33 yrs, then they wrongly crucified Him, but He rose from the dead. So, yes, God can be “seen” and many people have “seen” God.

At the same time, no one has ever seen God revealed in all His glory. In our fallen human condition, if God were to fully reveal Himself to us, we would be consumed and destroyed. People have seen visions of God, images of God, and appearances of God, but no one has ever seen God the Father in all His fullness (Exodus 33:20).

@LadyGrace moses saw God
@imo21169 Excellent! He sure did, but not in all His glory. Scripture says He saw the back of God, else God said he wouldn't have been able to bear it.
