Yes, sounds quite legit. I have no problem with that. Only thing is there is no Halloween in my country except for Wiccans and they are few and far between.

There is a vulture "Restaurant" not far from here though. A place where farmers leave dead animals for the vultures. I could just take the corpse there. I'll just put a sign next to the corpse reading "Played Xmas music in October" and no-one will even ask questions...:-)

If this catches on then then within a week or so there will be a pile of corpses around my convenient sign.

I had a styrofoam tombstone yard decoration blow up into my yard, winds have been fierce lately.

@cherokeepatti: What kind of decoration was it patty ?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Wraithorn: a grey tombstone, was kind of concerned about the metal screw in it, like it could take someone's tire out.

@cherokeepatti: Ok , I understand. I had the impression that it was a decoration placed on a tombstone in a nearby graveyard that blew into your yard.

Oh no, it's the kind of yard decorations sold at Dollar Stores, people will "decorate" their yards with stuff like that to make them look like cemetaries for Halloween. People waste a lot of money on crap like that here in the USA.

@cherokeepatti: They are possibly victims. Victims of a system that tells you, via people like Paris Hilton and so on, that happiness can be found in the world of consumerism.

It's a well constructed illusion that many people in many countries fall for. It's not just the USA. The USA is just leading the pack in a manner of speaking. Humanity needs "healing"...:-)

@Wraithorn: Sure does. All we've done is make China that much stronger as far as trade goes, nothing balanced in our trade with them. Like an old man said one time "We're selling them our scrap metal and one day they'll be a-shooting back at us".... Back in the 90's I used to see cars with bumper stickers on them that said "Whoever dies with the most toys wins"....sick way of thinking.

@cherokeepatti: Interesting that you mention China. I'm not for branding them as the "enemy" or anything. I am however impressed with their intelligence. They are not stupid people.

You may or may not be surprised to hear that they are also investing heavily all over Africa in places that other people steer clear of. Like Zimbabwe. My government also has their finger in the Chinese pie but the Chinese do business on their own terms.

Here is a splendid example of that. Prior to 1994 in S.A. when it was convenient to be White the Chinese were classed as White people. So they enjoyed privileges. Post 1994 when it became not so cool to be White the Chinese managed to become un-classed as White. They now enjoy privileges because of that.

They are clearly more intelligent than most of us recognize and they are just "quietly" doing their thing.
