My alarm clock was manufactured january 2005. Is that weirdly old for an alarm clock?

I got it for a gift years ago and it still works. It's one of those CD player radio ones

I dunno, the one I had came from my brother... it was likely made in the 70s. it's probably still work today and still make that god awful grinding noise as it ran.
