I just realized if a US army soldier was seen strangling a cat in Equador the US would be up in arms...

But try to squash a whole nation and a government because a sink hole might have gold in it and that's ok.

True or false?

False. Gold is only artificially rare. We have a huge stockpile of the stuff and outside of being a good conductor, it's practically useless. Would be a complete waste of actually valuable resources to pursue gold in Ecuador. Stupid waste of effort and resources for worthless shiny rocks. But yeah, also the government and nation and whatnot.

@Madhatter no you missed the point.

You care more about cats than you do your government bullying the world.
Madhatter · 31-35, M
@Paliglass No, I got it, I'm just playing with you. Yeah, realistically, you're right. That's ridiculous. But the reality of it is that the average American loves pets so much that they care more about cats than their own well-being in many cases. They will sleep in a twisted up position every night and cause lasting damage to their spine because they don't want to move the cat. They will run in to a burning building, risking their life to save a cat. I agree with you that it's dumb, but that's just how it is.

@Madhatter it's insane. I said I'd avoid visiting that place because I was never keen but now I'm certain I will avoid America.

If someone hands me tickets for free I'll sell them.

It's seems a really horrendous place. It's not "the free world" Theres no "American dream"

It's oppressed people with guns who choose not to use them because they're so brainwashed by their oppressors that they don't even want to be free.

America will have to fall. That's the only way I see any change.

Rome fell, the Ottoman Empire fell, the British kind of said "oh sorry about that" and gave there's back. America will have to fall. Massively fall I mean. That's the only way the people there might wake up.

I couldn't walk around there, it'd be too sad. At least in other oppressed countries they know they are oppressed.

@PaliglassWell, let me fill you in with some insider knowledge...

We all know voting is pretty much worthless because the popular vote does nothing. The decision is made by the electoral college, who are going to do what benefits them personally. The American people are kept much more poor than the wealth of the nation should require.

To say we don't use our guns is a bit silly. We use them constantly! Just, you know, on each other, because the wealthy monsters running America have created an insidious situation that keeps the poor fighting amongst themselves and struggling to get by day to day so they don't have the time or the means to concern themselves with the shady shit the government is doing.

We know. However, we also know that our guns mean nothing to a tank or a jet or a bomb. Americans owning guns means nothing in the modern age. You can't beat that. So instead of putting forth the futile effort of fighting against it, we just try our best to work through it. Learned helplessness is rampant in America. I see it in my parents. I see it in my coworkers. They know there's nothing they can do, so they just accept it. What you see is not a nation of blissfully ignorant people (not most of us, anyway). It's a nation of people who are just gonna smile and let the winds take them wherever it may. Just have fun with it! =D

@Madhatter at least you realise. But if you don't fight for things like health care you'll never have them. If you don't fight for helping Rach generally you'll never have any of it.

You live miserably overall while a very few live ridiculously.

Equador doesn't need a coup. You do.

Who is in charge? Top of my list is the Rothschilds.
Madhatter · 31-35, M
@Paliglass The wealthy are in charge. They make decisions and politicians make them reality in exchange for a piece of the wealth. They mislead with half truths to make the less-educated among us believe things are as good as they can be.

They say that America has the best medicine and medical professionals in the world. That's why celebrities come to America when they get sick or injured. This is true, but the cost of medical care in America is so expensive that only wealthy people like celebrities have access to it. But there's just enough truth in the story to convince many Americans that we don't need to change our system. Hopefully this pandemic will make them see the lie for what it is. So many Americans couldn't be tested initially because the test was too expensive, and the treatment as well. So the virus was able to easily spread. They don't much care if the poor die. They only took action when people stopped working and the stock market began to plummet. Then it affected them.

I agree with you that a coup would do America a lot of good. But making it happen is something no one can figure out. Not without the death of millions. Millions of Americans and who knows who else. Americans love showmanship. We'd make it a global affair. You know that to be true.

@Madhatter I meant who are the wealthy who also have power. The Rothschilds and who else?

I'll look into it. I seem to now be obsessed because of Equador.
Madhatter · 31-35, M
@Paliglass The folks who own the big oil companies are probably way up there.
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@Madhatter Vanderbilts, Loews, Koch, these are the ones that seem most wealthy and influential by a very quick glance.

The Kennedy's still hold offices but that says they are puppets to me.

Ford, maybe and definitely like I said the Rothschild family.
