Can a home mature?

Say you live somewhere, you decorate rearrange furniture, maybe some years later you redecorate again. Is it possible for the decor to mature.

I'm not sure I'm explaining this well but like I looked into my living room from the hallway and the floor lamp lit over the arm chair against the curtains made me think the room was of an older, mature person.

Oh absolutely. I see it all the time.

@FeralMindset what do you think helps to make this happen?
Oh it could be any number of factors. Our taste changes as we age. Different styles emerge different building trends come about. Even you taste in music and food will alter your environment @Peppa

@FeralMindset i agree, I used to be very minimalistic when I first moved in here. I still am to an extent buying furniture that nearly stored and displayed things. With a modern esc style but i found myself hiding things like letters as the friends witted down I clung on to things to fill spaces so it felt less empty.
Now I've made peace with that I'm trying to create cosy comfort but keep the few sentimental things, my family are elderly now so they won't be here forever, that's really changed my perspective. It's officially a home.
Sound like you’re growing and evolving nicely @Peppa

@FeralMindset im trying to find inner peace. I think I've been disturbed(unsettled) for a long time. I'm comfortable here. When things are good they are really good.
Neighbours are odd but my space is really getting to that point where I'd happily not leave for days on end. You know x
That’s very fortunate. You are truly blessed @Peppa
