Fridge is a nickname for refrigerator so you don't have to spell out the whole word.
Turtles (live some or all of the time in water) are different than tortoises (live mostly on land).
And coyotes and wolves are different too, as are alligators and crocodiles.

@Mamapolo2016 Haha whyyyyy? Here we have a Turtle (Solhefah or Solhefa if you say it in Egyptian accent) and a water Turtle. Problem solved 馃槄
Nobody cares if a crow is big or small (Ghorab) same for Wolves and Coyoties (Ze'b or Deeb in Egyptian accent)
And Crocodiles and Alligators (Temsah) again nobody thinks twice about them that's the only Arabic word for them.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Well, for starters, you don't need to talk about alligators much because you don't have alligators. Only crocodiles. Same with coyotes.
In the US we have mostly alligators with only a few crocodiles. So if you wanted to tell the doctor which reptile ate your foot, the different names come in handy.
A fridge and a refrigerator both keep food cold. so it doesn't matter which you use.
