@DragunFruit usually when you dig deeper, behavior issues are influenced by childhood experiences. "Nurture" over "nature".
So, if looking at the past seems redundant to you, maybe you could ask yourself "what are my triggers?" and "what parts of my attitude do I have control over?" so you can make a strategic plan to help yourself out of it.
