I was able to buy sanitizer last week, but none to be found yesterday. I was able to buy toilet paper yesterday, but someone I spoke to today said she went to two supermarkets and both were sold out. Expect bottled water and soap to be in short supply next (store I went to today had about 8 packages of bath soap left, and I bought two of 'em)

@SomeAreBoojums OK I will try to get my boss to order more soap for the customers. I just use bars of soap at home, liquid soap in the washroom at work and sanitizer while I'm working at the counter. But I don't want to use up my stash of sanitizer, so I'm making some to keep the workplace supplied.
My boyfriend's parents ran out of toilet paper because they didn't know about the hoarding. So he got them some.
I wouldn't want to exploit anyone by selling things at hugely marked up prices though. I'm telling people how to make the sanitizer themselves if they need to. It would be better to share some with people in need.
Somebody who grew up in the southern US said they used washcloths instead if they ran out of toilet paper.
