Is it true that you shouldn't judge anyone until you've walked a mile in their shoes?

That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

In the US there is an event -usually held in Spring- "Walk A Mile in her Shoes" which is for profit and fundraising where men are encouraged to walk a mile in her shoes-even she can. You collect pledges and what you walk got collect for.
