Not many. I worked for my parents businesses as a teenager but that was easy going as they couldn't fire me. They were very strict though. After that I got married ,left to live abroad and focused on college for many years and I only just become my first and most formal employment and I'm excited even though it can be hard going

@SW-User Working for family is probably good for a time; gives you experience around people you're already familiar with. But having your own job separate to family is more beneficial, but as you said, can be very hard-going at times.

@maybesomeday yeah it was definitely good to work with family as a minor and just to gain some experience. No I definitely wouldn't reccomend that long term either,I enjoy having my individual job,it just feels a lot more demanding when you are working for someone else and you have to meet certain procedures etc. I will get there ,I hope

A lot.
I freelanced for a year or so between uni and my current career. Had weekend jobs to pay my way through art school. I've had a lot.

@Thevy29 What was your favourite job out of all those?
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@maybesomeday I forgot Quartermaster for the Council Equipment shed. That was before the Receptionist. It was a work for the dole gig. And completely different to what I'm used to.
Work started at 9am. I got there at 8:30am.
Sometime round 10am they decide whoever was going to show has shown up and off the go.
Steel caps are required!
My Job was to clean the area and store things safely. Keep the batteries charged and maintain an itnenary. Which they had no idea how to do. I got to work in the sunshine with music going as loud as I wanted.

DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@maybesomeday Most of the time it wasn't by choice. I just couldn't find permanent work and had to take what I could get.
