Ideas for punishment?

How should adults who spend their time thinking about "humiliating & embarrassing" punishments (also known as abuse) for children be punished?

I dunno of ideas for punishment but they definitely need to be checked out by a psychologist, because that's all kinds of fucked up. Possibly investigated too, although I don't have faith much in the police.

@basilfawlty89 actually that sounds like the most right thing to do in these cases
