I've got range. we could just start and see where it goes.
@dirge okay, start
@Stark what interesting things did you discover today?
@dirge the only interesting thing I discovered today was a new seafood place with great prices. What about you?
@Stark hrm. there was an interesting article about research saying you can experience any emotion, so long as you have name for it. which makes me wonder if there are emotions in other languages that don't really make it to others... which might be kinda like the one that keeps being throw around recently from scandanavia... something about ... comfort? I'd have to look that up.
@dirge Hygge is a Danish and Norwegian word for a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment. As a cultural category with its sets of associated practices hygge has more or less the same meanings in Danish and Norwegian, but the notion is more central in Denmark than in Norway.
@dirge Well, wouldn’t it be natural for people to be able to experience any emotion ?🤔 Even if they haven’t experienced a particular emotion before, they’re still capable of experiencing that emotion. Right ?
@Stark the article made it sound like you needed to be able to name it, but possibly.
@dirge Odd. I feel like there are things people feel all the time and don’t even know what it is they’re feeling. It happens to me a lot. There are things I feel that I sometimes can’t even explain or know what it is.
@Stark maybe. I dunno.
