What's the weirdest story linked to someone you met online?

I was friends with a compulsive liar online when I was younger. He told me he had 3 different names (over time of course, when he "apologized" he would tell me it was actually this). He also claimed to be part of the GRU and created a whole other persona, a woman, which he said he knocked up and was having a kid with. He even faked his own suicide attempt through "her" to emotionally manipulate me.
I'm glossing over a lot of it but that's the gist.
