Why do kids and teens say "savage" so much nowadays? Even adults?

They would say, "Oooh she/he is savage." Elderly people are savage. What is with this savage? When I was a kid, we didn't use the term "savage" or "roast". That wasn't a term back them. We said, "burn" back then.

I say "savage," "burn," and pretty much everything else 🤷‍♀️ I don't give a shit how it sounds to people. I've come to be at peace with whatever vocabulary people use. Your parents' generation looks down on your generation, their parents' generation also looked down on their generation, so on and so on. We're all victims of this age discrimination, so we should stop pretending to be on high horses and look down on the next generation to come.
