I think the US should do everything it can to put women on a level playing field with men and that our culture should inspire women to run for political office. But I don't believe in choosing a female president for the purpose of choosing a female president, simply because prioritizing a relatively trivial trait like that will often require you to turn your back to presidents whose actual policies would benefit women more. You don't have to have a vagina to help out people who have vaginas.

@AthrillatheHunt That skews true, but there are tons of men who are more empathetic than tons of women. We don't have to do that kind of statistical guesswork when we can gauge candidates' personalities from the things they, themselves actually say and do.
