So there i was, sat in the Barber's chair...
Two youngsters working in the Barbers today. Early 20's.
The young woman had cut my hair once before but needed her boss to finish it because she wasn't sure how.
Kudos to her, she did a good job.
Today. Manager not about so was the turn of the young guy.
Now. Ordinarily, as a style i pick something short and tidy.
And knowing that this young guy probably couldn't cut my hair the way i like it either, i found myself saying "Blank canvass buddy. See if you can make me look 20 years younger !"
You know those moments where you say something and THEN wonder if it was such a good idea ?......😁
I had one of them !
He looked kinda worried at first. Middle-aged old-boy says 'go for it' bound to make you a bit uneasy.
He stumbled and stuttered and then says...."how do you normally have it ?"
I said, "Doesn't matter ! You're the Stylist. What do you think ?"
Huge grin comes across his face ! (😳 This was mine having realized what i'd just said !)
"No one EVER calls me a 'Stylist' !" He says. "That's my actual job title !"
I said "I trust you. Go for it !"
Half an hour of cutting and trimming and whatever that mud/clay/putty stuff is later, i walk out with something (supposedly) very mod and trendy.
Not sure whether to post pictures of hair or my barnet under a Beanie !
