In his time the way he wrote them they can be interpreted after the fact in so many ways it seems like they predict the future but they don't. It's just entertaining French poetry. Probably the next few big things we see will be nanotechnology in medicine, commercial space travel, better economic fairness across the globe, renewed energy sciences. Think. Computers have put all those things in reach. It's only reasonable to assume that these things are coming.
