@Yulianna Number two: I haven't been to Ukraine, don't know about the wines or the styles. But have spent time in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. They told me Georgia and Azerbaijan were big wine producers in the Soviet times - and Gorbachev, in wanting to deal with the alcohol abuse, told them to rip up their vineyards. Georgia said, yeah, we'll get right on to that. And did nothing. But Azerbaijan actually did, and have been playing catch up ever since.

Semi-sweet reds from Georgia are stunning. And the cognacs from Armenia!

i will not learn saxophone - unless total market collapses and i must go busking on street! 😁

@Abstraction i do not drink much, and prefer the lighter french pinot noirs, but the reputation of georgian wines is good - and that story is typical georgian!

we have some good growing conditions in south and some new wine makers who need help in bringing product to wider market. that is my project.
