Should I stay or go?

I just randomly quit my job today. I quit because I felt bad for calling out so much lately last month and being sick that I felt my boss should hire someone else. I told my boss I have not been feeling well mentally and physically. She could me a bit ago and told me that she values me as an employee and would like me to stay and she would can work with giving me part time for as long as I need it. She told she would give me a day to think of it. I really enjoy my job but now I feel embarrassed to go back because I collected all my essentials this morning in my office and did not say goodbye to any of my collegues. I feel to embarrass to go back. What do you think. Is it worth the emabarassment? I have a nitch on what I am going do but just wanted to hear your thoughts?

Your boss seems very understanding and compassionate. Not many bosses are like that. It's rare to find a job that actually cares about its employees. You still have that bridge open though. If you ask me i think u should stay, just do part-time for now.

@AkAtSUki Yes she is. I am like 70 percent that I will stay and call her this evening. I am going have to suck up my embarrassment from coworkers but I have been in more embarssing situations

@JaneCas Nothing to be embarrassed about..life happens and thats just the way it is.
Pop back in. Don't feel embarassed, your employer values you and knows that you've been feeling poorly... you enjoy your work, too.

@EugenieLaBorgia Yea thanks all this encouragement just confirms my patients need me :)

Your employer is giving you what could be a life changing opportunity. Don't let your fear (or embarrassment) decide your fate.
JaneCas · 26-30, F
@LucyFuhr thank you so much
From what you have written, I think you should go back. Get part time hours if that works better for you. Your boss obviously likes you. Don't even worry about what your co-workers think.

If you can find another one easily, then don't go there now.

It will eventually harm your spirit when you would work with people and it may or might have an impact on your Co-ordination with your seniors.
JaneCas · 26-30, F
@TheOrionbeltseeker What do you mean harm my spirit?
TheOrionbeltseeker · 36-40, M
@JaneCas Nothing serious. Other users are advising better than me I guess. Ignore it.

I meant getting along with the people with whom you have issues.
JaneCas · 26-30, F
@TheOrionbeltseeker I don't have issues with anyone at work, just have not been feeling well.

I honestly think you should swallow crow, and go back. You just might make a positive impression on your boss and co-workers, not giving up. 🙋☝️🤗🤗

@Montanaman Yea I was really surprise my boss called me and told me that she wants me to stay because so many ppl have gotten fired or quit in my department. It feels quite nice to hear that I am valuable.

Your boss wants you back
Take some time and decide

Peace
Ask if the Christmas 🎄 party is any good and if it is then stay.

If not then hit the road 🎁
