Friendly reminder for the general public

When around service dogs
No touch
No talk

It’s more important than you think. If little sue has a seizure disorder and cannot get to a safe space away from hard surfaces because you are distracting the dog from alerting, you are part of the problem! Don’t help create hospital trips for handlers, help them avoid them by doing your part.

i mean my dog is a mobility dog so I personally don’t mind if someone asks. As long as I’m not in a setting where I will get swarmed and he will completely loose his focus.

service dogs are amazing. Mine prevents falls mostly. And helps me with stairs

A lot of training goes into a service dog. Touching or talking can also negatively impact the dogs training. Thank you for posting this. 🙂

@trackman11 I don’t care as long as people ask and respect my wishes. But if I see an environment-that is going to overload him aka hundreds swarming I do say no.

@GJOFJ3 I’ve actually had amazing luck here as far as parents go. Simple things like “no honey he’s working “ are said constantly !!!!!
