My daughter wants to be alone for her birthday

She's been home and working hard at school.I asked what she wanted to do special and she's requested nothing.Shes going to be 23.I want to honor her feelings but feel I should do something. We've always celebrated.

Sometimes they just feel down and overwhelmed and don't feel like they deserve something on the day, you can still make it a special day even if it's just you and her that go somewhere and do something together

@Bushmanoz She expressed she doesn't like getting older.I think cause she's behind in things. No pressure my end but she has internal pressure.

@Butterflykisses24 yeah, my sons the same. I just ask him whats he going to remember in a few years..another day doing work, or a special day out with his mates. It really sounds to me shes just really overwhelmed with even having to decide, like it;s just one more thing she doesnt want to have to deal with. Id say dont ask, just organise something, remember its about you too, you had her all those years ago and its just as important for you..maybe tell her that as you drag her out for a no pressure relaxing night
