God doesn't hate you. You know the saying, God doesn't give you anything you can't handle? Sometimes, I think, God will push you to the edge just to make you stronger and see if you will ask for His help to get through it all.
The bad things that may happen or that are happening in your life are not necessarily given to you by God, but by Satan in an attempt to turn you away from God.
Personally, I am a great believer in the power of prayer and I believe that prayer can and does works wonders. It has in my life. I may not always get the answer to prayer that I would like, but my prayers do get answered.
But to get back to your original question, God does not hate you. You may expect God's love and support...but what have done for Him lately? Don't judge God. Whether you like it or not, whether you understand why or not, His will will be done.
