Imma go with the answer: 15.
@StormyLynn

1) 10+10+10=30

2) 10+5+5= 20

3) 5+2+2 = 9

4) 5+2 x 10 = 70

No??
StormyLynn · 26-30, F
@Soossie Ahhh, I see what you're getting at. Firstly, the last line has only one fry container equaling 1 per 1 fry container. Look at the fries between the two equations. There's a difference in the number of containers.

The third equation is actually 5+1+1+1+1=

Secondly, with order of operations, your answer to your proposed calculations should be 25. 2×10+5=25 as multiplication always happens first.

There's only 1 fry container in the last equation equalling 1. :)
@StormyLynn

Thank you... now I see that there are 4 containers, each value to 1 ... but as we learnt it the calculation happens as the sequrnce it has been broughy forward..

Therefore

5+1 = 60 x 10 = 60

5 + (1 x 10) = 5 + 10 = 15.

@Pinto When this thing first hit on FB, the HUNDREDS of comments and all the different answers. It was crazy how many people were WAY off.
Pinto · 61-69, M
@Pherick I got it wrong many times because I kept overlooking the double vs single fries. 🤦‍♂️

@Pinto 🙋🏻‍♀️ Me too

@Arorin PEMDAS....1x10 =10 +5 =15.
Arorin · M
@DragonFruit yes but the trick in the picture is most people don't see that the fry has a value of 1 each.
SW-User
10 + 10 + 10 = 30

10 + 5 + 5 = 20

5 + 2 + 2 = 9

5 + 1 × 10 = 15?

I don't know. Math is trash.
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@SW-User you rock
Pinto · 61-69, M
@SW-User Exactly!
walabby · 61-69, M
17 is wrong.. I think it's 15?
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@walabby but the fries are 2 according to the one above
walabby · 61-69, M
@Miklee02 Two packets of fries are 2... in the last equation there is only one fries.
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@walabby 5 + 2+ 2 = 9
WindTherapy · 56-60, M
17?
WindTherapy · 56-60, M
@WindTherapy Well shit...there's an x and not a + in that last one. 🤦‍♂️ 😂
@WindTherapy It's a 100, then! I couldn't even see the 'x'!!
WindTherapy · 56-60, M
I should have just put it in Excel to begin with....I've forgotten math. Ugh..... 😭
Success · 26-30, F
16. You need to zoom in to properly see the images of fries.
It’s time to declare me Ultimate quiz master!
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I already won 😬
I didn't catch the double fries. You so sneaky.

@SW-User Its one burger and 4 chips. Look closely at the actual images. The fries in #2 are actually 2 bags of chips for each one.

😂😂 I should focus on details I didn’t notice @Pherick

PEMDAS will tell us that the answer is 25
Pinto · 61-69, M
@daisymay Note that line 3 shows four packages of fries...not two. (Two batches of two). By your equation above, fries = 1 (5+2(1)+2(1)=9)..The fourth line shows only one batch of fries. 5 + 2 x 10 = 15.
daisymay · 51-55, T
@Pinto 😧omg, I missed that

Bad, Daisy! :(

Answer is 15
Pinto · 61-69, M
@daisymay 🤗 I made the same many times before...I only learned when someone pointed it out to me. Carry on this new knowledge to the next one... :)
MasterLee · 56-60, M
15
fortycreek · M
Omg order of operations, i missed it but its 25
Pinto · 61-69, M
@fortycreek 15...there's only one package of fries on the last line. The fourth line has two batches of two packages...therefore fries = 1 and not 2.
