On a fundumental level humans aren’t anything important.

This self imposed oh humans are great nonsense obscures our vision and stops us from deleting what needs to go . It seems to me we care about the well being of a plant over our own species If you can go prune a plant you shouldn’t have a problem doing the same

Our planet isn't in danger; it'll burn us off like a fever without skipping a beat. The problem is that we're the fever, and we don't want to be burned off. Having a human-centric view of things isn't problematic, since we are the humans.
