Do narcissists create narcissists?

Would the kids of a narcissist be narcissists? They do what they see and having such an example in the house
May
influence their personality? What you say? What are the chances?

The classical result of a narcissist parent is one narcissist child and one empath child. The parent teaches the former to emulate his or her own unhealthy tendancies, and plays the family in general against the latter. The former learns to manipulate others while the latter -- being told that he or she is always somehow wrong -- grows to learn tremendous patience and empathy.

Maybe a learned narcissist can unlearn narcissism.
I think true narcissism is a mental defect.

It truly is a mental defect. @Carla

Possibly, but not necessarily....some will emulate the narcissistic parent, but others will rebel and devide that they don’t want to be like that. Such an example in a parent will affect their personality, but it won’t insure that the child will follow in the footsteps of the parent.

Good point. @DragonFruit
