Do you ever get scared when you're home alone at night?

I haven't been scared in a long time. That's a good thing. I don't know if I could handle living in the woods alone if I was the fearful kind. That's like how every horror movie starts. 😧

Only time when I heard someone open the storm door (the spring is really squeaky and I won't put oil on it ever now) really slowly and stand there trying to look inside the peephole...It happened for a whole week, every night at 10:15 I'd wake up to hear the door close. Thought I was dreaming and then on Friday night I stayed up and heard it.

Yes. Although I realize it's only my fear settling in, I feel as though the darkness deepens and opens its mouth wider to swallow me. If I ever have to be home alone, I always make sure that I remain in a well-lit room until someone returns.

😲 Only after I go to bed. You know, when the house makes those noises it always makes but you don't pay attention to unless you're alone. Or when the dogs barks at a stupid rabbit......I hope it was a rabbit.
