House-husbands

Why are house-husbands not treated with dignity in the society?
A successful mans' housewife gets good respect but a successful woman's house-husband is mocked, laughed and ridiculed! Especially in my country India..

There is a saying in India(may be in other countries also), that is.

" UDYOGAM PURUSHA LAKSHNAM"

SO, MALES WHO WORK, EARN AND TAKE CARE OF HIS WIFE, HIS CHILDREN AND HIS FAMILY ARE ONLY, RESPECTED.

@Vimala I agree with you.. But what is wrong with the other way round? I mean nothing wrong if a husband wants to be at home with wife working, right?
