Saying "Cristopher Columbus didn't discover America because people were already living here" is acceptable to say til about 18 then you're pretensious

I use to say this when I was 16 and thought I was woke. Truth is, if we find life on mars, we could say "we discovered life on mars" and then the dipshits will be like "how can you say we discovered life on mars? People already knew they were there!! Christopher Columbus shouldn't be celebrated because he wasn't remotely a good person, but good God, you aren't woke for knowing this.
