Co-worker asked me if I had siblings, and are they like me. What's that mean?

I asked what do you mean like me?
I just replied they are different.
I asked her about her siblings. Said she has one sister and that she, herself, was the outgoing one.

People try to make quiet/reserved/shy a bad thing. Is it really?

I keep getting that.
Guess the lesson is, don't take things personal.
