Depends on what you think is nice.

Out East there’s country, vineyards and nice beaches (better than California beaches) but stuck up cunts.

Closer to Manhattan there’s phenomenal food, interesting people but also crime.

yes but if you want that kind of thing upstate NY is the best place. like Syracuse.

But you don’t need to go so far upstate as that to see it.

Lake George is closer to the city and a much better place to enjoy the outdoors. An it has its place in history with forts from the French and Indian wars to the American revolution that now stand as museums.
