You can't do anything except treat them with kindness and respect. And that doesn't mean they're obligated to like you.

@SW-User You know when they say that "their true colours showed up"? Well sometimes I notice waves of that during moments when I need to be decisive, and I don't know if I like me, or if other people like it, if I question it.
