I think many people just want to feel proud of whatever country they can consider as theirs i felt that way when i immigrated to the us. i wanted to be an american but i had a heavy accent and no one would accept me as american so i cold only talk about where i was originally from. that's definitely something not to be proud of but give it time and thoes immigrants would consider where they live now as where they are from. i had a tough time accepting that i can not claim any a forgin country as mine because i wanted it to be mine everyone else had something they could brag about around me but i could not mow im proud to be american.its not about them going back to their country its about them having something that they can be proud of about their country.
