[c=#4C0073]Do you feel that minorities are predisposed to violence, and take more than they contribute?

There is no need to comment but if you could give an honest selection in the poll I'd appreciate it. This is not a racially charged post. I do not want bickering about who's culture is better or what not. I would just like a general consensus. Please n thank you. [/c]

Is this stemming from NearMiss rant?

[c=#4C0073]ive seen a lot of people with that ideology. I want to know how deep seated it is.[/c]

@VioletRayne: you'd be surprised that its really prevalent in society today, how do you think Trump got so popular?

[c=#4C0073]The question is why and how do we as people of color combat it. [/c]@JarJarBoom:

@VioletRayne: I don't think you can completely eliminate it, people will stick to their own thoughts or feel like that are always "being attacked"... I think thats what made Martin Luther King Jr great, he used peaceful tactics to get his point across rather than violence.

[c=#4C0073]i think that's part of it. We need a more prevalent approach.[/c]@JarJarBoom:

I dunno, can you really change someone's viewpoint? I learned that people are going to believe what they want to believe they will go to internet and find all these facts and figures trying to prove that they are "correct" in their logic ... its always going to be a losing battle

[c=#4C0073]it may be a battle we lose, but I believe it's a battle worth fighting[/c]@JarJarBoom:

@VioletRayne: it probably is, but the big question is...How do you get your point across? How can you change the way people think? People want to leave their mark in this world but its only worthy if it leaves a good mark on society. America is founded on immigration and it only makes sense that people have to learn to adapt to live with each other and understand their differences rather than trying to bring people down to a certain level. We all work just to get ahead, some people want to find shortcuts to success but its the same for everybody that we all find happiness if we educate ourselves about how we should treat other people.

[c=#4C0073]I think we should do a sort of foreign exchange program. Where all high school kids must live a year with a family of a different culture. [/c]@JarJarBoom:

@VioletRayne: I don't think it should be mandatory...people just need to get their mind out of their small bubble and try to explore the world more.
VioletRayne · 31-35, F
[c=#4C0073]the only way to do that is really immerse yourself in another's culture.[/c]@JarJarBoom:
