Why Michael Jackson is glorified as a star even if we know that he was a child molester?

Being a star and being a good person doesn't go hand in hand. Even tho I absolutely hate his music, I can still admit he was a great performer with a massive talent.

John Lennon is hailed as a great talent too, and even a spokesman for peace, while in real life it's no secret he was a wife beater (among other things) Still doesn't change the fact he made a great impact in the music scene. (And no, I don't like him either, but his talent is still undeniable)
