Something in the Woods...

I searched all over and I think they may have changed the name of the woods.

When I was 17 years old...

I entered a Cursed forest that I did not know that was haunted.

Called maulberry Woods in Illinois... they changed it to Maple Lake.

I remember after my experience I wrote about it on EP... and then googled it and found that I was NOT the only one who experienced this at these woods.

Now I look it up and its Gone!!!

When I was there...

Picture the trees around like an upside down horseshoe... in the middle is a small pond/river.

It was past midnight.

And I had a big flashlight. And across the water...

I recently turned it on and saw lights across the water and behind the trees.

I was like... is someone back there?

I was confused because I knew I was all alone.

I dont know why, but I pushed the button off my flashlight.

And the lights in the trees disappeared...

Some kind of reflection...?
No... not possible.

I pushed the button again...

There werent just few lights...

There were now DOZENS..

Like lil balls of Orbs... floating behind the trees.

I turned off my light again...

And my eyes wide as hell...

I turned it back on.

The orbs were now floating across the water...

I freaked out. And began waving my arm with the flashlight back and forth.

And ALL the lights went back and forth.

There were not dozens... HUNDREDS!!!

I knew no one would believe me...

I was now terrified... because they were coming MY WAY...

And the moment I turned off the flashlight one more time...

I swear it was blood curling...
It sounded like they were tons of coyotes around me.

And they all howled... Screaming!!!!

I knew it was a warning... and I had to get out of there.

And the moment I did... the screeching stopped.

ILL NEVER FORGET that there was something in the woods.

And when I looked online...

There was a small article about the unusual lights in the forest.

Now I cant find it!

I want to go back and try to record.

That's some creepy stuff. We have Skin Walker ranch here in Northern Utah and I've seen some weird phenomenon while camping and stuff, but I always just end up thinking it's probably just a normal thing and it only seems strange to us because so many people hardly ever stay out on night in the woods.

The Lights Above Maple Lake
Maple Lake is located in Pulaski Woods East, off 95th Street and Wolf Road in Willow Springs. For years, strange lights have been spotted hovering over the lake—even in the dead of winter when few fishermen would be on the lake. An odd red glow has also been seen around the shoreline. Ghost hunters classify the types of lights at Maple Lake as nocturnal lights. “These are lights, generally spherical, almost always moving just above ground, sometimes disappearing upon approach and reappearing nearby,” William Corliss explained in his book, Handbook of Unusual Natural Phenomena.

Lue Eluzondo writes about seeing them too in his book "Imminent".
My understanding is that the orbs are usually friendly but their color indicates their intent .
