I have a degree in engineering, but everything I know I learned from life. That sheepskin chafes when you wipe your ass with it.

DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
High school grad, then did 2 years at a technical school, then 1 year of another technical school.

Wanted to go to university after high school, but when I sent my application, I was turned down due to never having taken a foreign language in high school. I had tried all 4 years of high school to take Spanish, but they kept telling me the class was full and throwing me into electives instead.

Now though, I'm glad I didn't go to university- I think it's a scam.
SW-User
@DearAmbellina2113 wow yep...you could be right

BS degree in biology, with a biotechnology certification.

Keeper · M
@SW-User It pays the bills until the NHL calls 😏
SW-User
@Keeper I just read Marner is getting 90 million over 6 years.
I wanna be a hockey player! 😭 haha
Keeper · M
@SW-User Marner is being a little b----h. Sorry, but it seems like everyone for the Leafs thinks they're the next great prodigy.

Be a goalie - Vaz just signed for like $10 mil/year 👍

Newfound · 41-45, M
I have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management but have seen lots of people with way more common sense that don't have a degree than those that do.
SW-User
@Newfound yeah... funny how that is sometimes.. and wow good on you!
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
Graduating from college doesn’t necessarily make one smarter than someone who didn’t.....but I did graduate college and went on to get a Juris Doctorate (Law degree).
SW-User
@DragonFruit yup.. true
You are smarted than them. You are the Bomb-Diggity! (no idea wth that means...)

Some college, life messed up the vet school dream.
SW-User
@SW-User yup life has a way of doing that..
SW-User
@SW-User Well, I was 26 & at the rate I'd have had to go, I'd just now be graduating. I see the bright side, I'd be ready to retire by now.🤪😅

I’ve got an associate’s degree and a bachelor’s degree both in business management. The degrees have helped open doors for me, but the bottom line is that I’ve still had to do the work. The degrees make me a candidate for more positions, but that’s only the beginning. You can’t cash a degree every two weeks to buy groceries and pay bills.

Being smart isn't necessarily connected with education, otherwise people from very low ranks of society wouldn't have achieved amazing results in literature, the arts and even science
@SW-User I worked at Timmy Ho's for like 6 months in grade 12 after that I was like noooope.
SW-User
@MrBlueGuy hell no. I mean I like the coffee but I sure as hell ain't working there. Lmao
@SW-User It's brutal. Crappy hours for minimum wage in a high stress environment. yippee, haha.
GBPackersFan · 41-45, M
You do come across as rather intelligent. I did “ somehow” made it through college but I’m not the sharpest in the shed 😂

midnightsun · 26-30, M
@SW-User not yet.

But one day I hope you'll read about me in the news .
SW-User
High School with some college. But yep, you are right on. Education does not make one smart at all, it just gets you knowledge.

Finished high school, tried college but realized it was waste of time & money. But I've never stopped learning. Love history and triva along with a number of certifications needed for work over the years.
