Before that incident I didn't have a clear idea about the cause of living. After that, I understood what I should do with my life. I had the urge to serve people and do humanitarian work.

@rebelliousgal: I think you mean, you had the urge to help people. Serve is a strong word for describing good things we do for people. I'm glad you found a good purpose to help people :) That's good :)

It was an emotional time and I was 16. Changed my ambitions and showed me that the material things are of very little importance.

I understand what you mean. I'm sorry for not considering that important aspect or the process you went through. I'm sorry for what you've been through. But I am happy you changed and realised a good purpose in your life.
