Try to find where they are coming in at and seal it off with caulking or something. Or spray where you see them with flea spray. Ive done this at home. It works. Just dont spray where you are going to prepare food.

When they crawl across the counters their bodies release a scent that other ants follow. You need to throw away your food in a closed bag or a disposal. Wipe the counters and the trashcan with white vinegar too. That gets rid of some of their scent. Mix vinegar with water and spray it on the ant hills you see outside too. If all else fails. Figure out where they are coming from and buy Terro at lowes. Put those out and it kills them after a few weeks.

@Fungirlmmm so with terro, i shouldnt be alarmed if i see a bunch if ants around it right? Because theyll eventually just go away or die?
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
@MntoNc Right they eat it and take the borax back to their next and they'll die. You'll find a trail of dead ants eventually.

@MntoNc terro is amazing.

You have to wash your trashcan with soap and move it to a new spot cause they already know that one and never throw anything in your trash that already has an ant on it
You could use poison either a bug spray or those other ant things .. And they work but i dont really like poisons

Ants are amazing little buggers.
Unless you kill the nest, they will continue to come.

I think the best way to keep the ants out of your trash is to switch your allegiance from the Vikings to the Eagles :)

@ANewCovenant serious question

Kill the ants from the source. Those ant hotels work. They take the poison back to their queen and everyone dies within a few days
