Do you usually get bad customer service?

I work retail, so I honestly get it but atleast pay attention to your customers. Most businesses I never ask for help because it's like herding chickens. They dont want to help and try to ignore you. This is especially bad with foreign markets and business, I know theres a culture and language barrier but they especially dont want to deal with me. Being polite and striking up conversation doesnt get me anywhere
